“What do we get you?”

Throughout this past year, numerous people have asked me, “What do we get you?

First of all, I would like to express my gratitude for the prayers and generosity that so many people have shown me throughout my years of formation.

To be frank, I was not going to create a gift registry, it seemed like an odd thing to be done for an ordination wherein I take a promise of priestly simplicity…Yet, I also acknowledge that numerous people greatly desire to give a gift that will be useful for ministry.  Likewise, I have come to learn that people are often surprised to learn what items, such as ritual books, vestments, and even clerical shirts cost. As such, I have created a registry both as a help to those wishing to purchase a gift on this joyous occasion and as a means of respecting your generosity.

If you wish to give a physical gift, please consider an item from the gift registry, or sponsoring a vestment.

Vestment prices are dependent upon the materials and craftmanship.
The old saying, “You get what you pay for” essentially rings true.

Natural fabrics, such as silk, drape, hold pattern their pattern, and are known to withstand the test of time, but are more expensive than synthetic fabrics. In some theological sense, the items that are natural are preferred—we return the best of what God has given to us after working with our hands—and not a creation of our own. Polyester fabrics are also used in beautiful vestments and often reduce the price point. Vestments made with natural fabrics often cost $1,000-$2,000 each. Vestments made with quality synthetic fabrics are often $600-$1,500 each.
